Join CAPS-AC for an evening of pre-Christmas celebration of Rioja wine paired with meze and tapas. Samples of 12 Rioja wines will be available to try this evening along with a collection of tapas and meze prepared by Chef Michael Toker. Chef Toker and wife Licia (a CAPS Sensory Development & Wine Styles graduate). Michael and Licia have graciously offered their cozy restaurant to CAPS for the evening. CAPS sommelier instructor Mark DeWolf says about Chef Toker "I've dined at Smyrna and previously at Troy in Wolfville, where Michael was chef, and I can say that Michael puts that extra effort into making his dishes flavourful. I think his secret is simply a commitment to local ingredients, cutting vegetables and herbs to order and a deft hand on his charcoal grill which infuse a subtle but not overpowering smoky flavour into his grilled fare."
