CAPS Atlantic Sommelier Competition & Gala Dinner
CAPS Atlantic is pleased to announce the 2021 CAPS Best Sommelier of Atlantic Canada contest. The contest will be held on Sunday, September 12th at CUT restaurant. The competition begins at 12:30 with the announcement of the 3 finalists and will be followed by the tense final round (1:00-4:00) which will pit 3 of Atlantic Canada’s top sommeliers in a variety of challenges including the always formidable blind wine tasting. A select number of seats will be reserved at CUT to watch the competition live. Following the competition a gala dining event will be held at Bianca restaurant on Argyle Street, which will conclude with the announcement of the winner of the Best Sommelier of Atlantic Canada. The winner of the contest qualifies for the Best Sommelier of Canada contest to be held October 17-20 in Okanagan BC. The winner of the Best Sommelier of Canada will go on to represent Canada at the Best Sommelier of the Americas in Chile (February 2022) and at the Best Sommelier of the World (Paris, France, 2023).
