CAPS-AC Tasting, Tuesday Feb 23, 2021: Delve Into Italian Chardonnay
Greetings CAPS-AC members and friends! It's been a whole year since we last gathered to taste wine! We recently received an update from the Nova Scotian government that group gatherings for social events such as our monthly tastings are permitted and we're excited to start up again. To adhere to COVID-19 restrictions we will no longer be hosting a reception and we are limiting tickets to 20 people. We encourage you to book with your close social group however please make informed choices about who and how to interact with other people and only if you are comfortable meeting in a group setting. We will try our best to group friends see together if you can let us know in advance but this is not a guarantee. Please abide by all provincial safety guidelines in an effort to keep all guests and staff safe, this includes bringing you own mask. You can check in with the restaurant in advance by texting 11011 and the word 'brasserie' (no quotations). At this tasting we are focusing on one of the classics, the noble Chardonnay, and highlighting the versatility of this varietal from several regions of Italy. After a brief introduction by sommelier Danielle McLean there will be a blind tasting and then each wine will be revealed and the terroir and winemaking discussed more in depth.
